Signs of an end to Indian IT Craziness

Barack Obama, US Presidential Candidate, has already promised American citizens with jobs by reducing multi-billion outsourcing works to India and other countries. Before he could do that, there is already a other problem for all IT workers and those who were studying Computer Science Program. It’s not anything other than US Financial Meltdown.

A year back, Indian IT Growth inspired many students to chose their career as IT Professional. Now, all are studying Computer courses in the colleges also. Infact, there is a great demand for some professional IT courses. In my school also, out of 350+ in Higher secondary student, more than 250 were Computer Science students. Due to over salary, there is a great craziness among the young to become an IT Professionals.

But, now there is signs of recession in IT sector also. NASSCOM has already scaled down their growth target from 30 percent to 21 percent. Som Mittal, president of NASSCOM, said that the condition in US is worrying. Major IT companies all over the world has primarily suspended expansion plans due to this.

Of course the outlook is not entirely bleak. The cheaper dollar keeps India globally competitive. Some experts say the current crisis will result in cost-cutting and that will mean more business as labour is cheap in India. But they all agree that the full impact of American meltdown is yet to be fully felt.

Barack Obama now has a 4 point lead over the Republican Candidate John McCain, according to a Reuters/C-SPAN/Zogby poll released today. Obama lead McCain 48-44. There is a 2 percent point increase for Obama. The poll has a error of 2.8 percent. Obama’s lead is due to the increase in support of independents and womens. Obama’s advantage over independents rose from 9 to 13 points and that of womens rose from 7 to 9 points. Obama also have a slight edge over McCain in Roman Catholic voters also. The poll conductors also stated that McCain should improve his campaign strategy. The poll was taken from Monday to Wednesday and about one-third of poll was after Tuesday night’s debate, which exhanged hard aruguments on Economic crisis. McCain’s speech at the debate didn’t work for him. Obama’s approach towards economic crisis was favoured by many voters.

I want Obama to win this elections as he was against outsourcing..
